About us
Since spring 2019 we are the proud owners of the Rode Swan. We live and work on board all year round. From April to October we are the professional crew during the sailing trips. In the low season we maintain the ship.

Vincent
At the age of 17, Vincent started as a mate in the ‘brown fleet’. Four years later he obtained his skipper’s papers at the Enkhuizen Maritime School. He has been sailing as skipper on the Wad for over twenty years. Vincent is a fanatic sailor who enjoys the sporty sailing characteristics of the Red Swan and likes to pass this on to the guests that sail along.
Dorette
After her studies in Delft, Dorette started to focus more and more on (sea) sailing. In 2018 Dorette obtained her diploma at the Enkhuizen Maritime School. Besides sailing she gets a lot of pleasure from involving the guests in sailing with explanations & practical instruction. In the winter season Dorette also sails on a tall ship as chief officer.
Sara
The most enthusiastic greeting is given to new guests by the ship’s dog Sara, who was born on Samos. She is gentle and thoughtful. Sara likes to lie on one of the fatboys with anyone who wants to. Sara has her own place behind her owners and does not enter the guest compartment.
