Are you looking for an adventurous short break? Do you want to get away from your daily routine? And are you curious about the unique Dutch Wadden area? Then embark aboard the two-masted Rode Swan for an all-expenses-paid trip. Even if you only travel for a weekend, you really get away from it all.
Cared for & Convivial
All our sailing trips are fully catered for, so you can step aboard in no time. Our ship’s cook prepares three meals a day and some snacks in between. On board you sleep in a cozy cabin in a bunk bed. There is a nice salon where you can meet other travelers.
No sailing experience
You don’t need any sailing experience to join. Do you enjoy being outside? And do you like to participate in some action now and then? Then you are perfectly at home on board the Rode Swan.
Covid warranty
The sailing trips take place in accordance with the prevailing measures. For example, we sail with fewer people. If the trip really cannot take place, you will get your money back.

Sailing area
Thuishaven Harlingen is centrally located on the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Islands and the IJsselmeer can easily be sailed in a day, so you can walk into the new harbor in the afternoon.
Due to its specific construction as a flat bottom, the Red Swan can deliberately dry up on the sandbanks in the Wadden Sea. You can walk on the Wad from the ship, a unique experience!
Spending the night at anchor under the starry sky is certainly possible and we do this regularly.
Team Rode Swan
Sailing ship Rode Swan is in the hands of our small team all year round. We are the professional crew during the sailing trips in the sailing season from April to October. In addition, we take care of the maintenance of the ship in the winter. In this way everything stays in order so ou can enjoy your stay without any worries. We live at the back of the ship in the traditional skipper’s house. Small is beautiful!
